I first talked about Blossom Toys here but couldn't help stating again on my blog how much I love the soft balls!

Full time mom and part time pediatrician, Kwan, decided to take toy designing into her own hands.  Disappointed not only in the quality of the toys marketed today but also the safety factor, she turned her sewing skills from hobby to business.  Currently her focus is on toys for infants and toddlers, hence all the soft jingle balls you can find at her darling etsy shop.

My boys absolutely LOVE the little set of three balls we received from Blossom Toys.  I have no worries about the balls being thrown all over the house.  It makes it safe for my 3 year old to play toss {or target practice} with his 15 month old brother.  Now if I hear screams I know it is because they are fighting over the balls and not because someone got bonked on the head with one.  They are super soft and made of lovely fabric.  A great gift for baby!

If you are in the market for a baby shower gift or just want something soft and handmade, I definitely recommend checking out Blossom Toys.  I just recently noticed a soft cloth football added to the shop.  I may just need to snatch that up!

I am exhausted hearing about all the latest recalls on this toy or that.  It seems like nothing is truly safe for our little ones to play with.  I get tired of the mass produced products flying around the stores and long for the handmade touch that is often lacking in manufactured toys today.  One mom took the initiative and decided to action.  Meet Kwan, creative designer behind Blossom Toys.  A full time mom and part time pediatrician who chose to add one more job description to her resume.  Blossom Toys was born after Kwan became more and more disappointed in the quality of toys she had to choose from.

"My recent concentration has been on creating toys for infants and toddlers due to the ever-growing safety concerns that plague today's market. All of my items are handmade by me with the safety of your little one in mind, from the standpoint of a mom and a pediatrician."

Kwan's soft and squeezable toys appeal to children from little babe to growing toddler but have a style that even moms can appreciate.  Her fabric choices are lovely and her designs are simple.  I especially love the  doodle caddy for my 2.5 year old.  I think it would make for a perfect carry-on when we take our next family vacation.  Her prices are reasonable, which gives you the excuse to grab up more than one goody!
