Wood mouse has some of the cutest handmade wooden toys I have found to date. Are you thinking Christmas yet? I am, and a little person on my list is bound to receive something from this darling shop. I also really love the Robot 1000000. What boy wouldn't love that?
This bag is the most clever little thing I have seen in a long, long time. It's a great alternative for a diaper bag too. Check out Show Pony's shop for more fun designs. Oh, and be sure to view their darling dish towels.
I've tried to make it a goal this year to go a little bit more "green". I'm trying to keep it simple + easy so I don't get too overwhelmed. One factor that I refuse to give up when going green is style + design. I believe you can still achieve that and be conscious about the environment at the same time.
Preserve Everyday has accomplished just that. This company has taken the products you use most in personal care, kitchen and tableware and has not sacrificed one bit on the side of design but can also help you achieve the green factor.
"At Preserve, we believe that you don’t have to
sacrifice style or quality to live green. To us, living green means
that you can get high quality, great looking eco-friendly products that
feel good to use and perform as well as or even better than your old
standbys. That’s why we work with top designers and use vivid colors to
make household products that are fun and fashionable."
"Preserve products are made from 100% recycled plastics and 100%
post-consumer paper. By using recycled materials, we save energy,
preserve natural resources and create an incentive for communities to
recycle. All of our plastic products are recyclable, either through our
postage-paid labels and mailers (toothbrushes and razor handles) or at
the curb in communities that recycle #5 plastic. We make our products in the USA, so that we can ship them shorter
distances, using less fuel and limiting our environmental footprint. We don’t test on animals. Period."
What a winning company to help me on my road to preserving our planet. My two favorites are the razor and toothbrush. They not only work just as good as the other stuff but they look good to boot! What preserve product would you use the most?

Okay gals, I am about as not green as can be so I need your help. I
have finally come to the conclusion that I need to do my part in taking
care of mother earth. After all, I am a mom and I know what a hard job
it can be. I really want to start recycling and I most definitely want
to switch my kid's straw cups over to a BPA-free version. I found these
foogo by thermos cups online and came across, on some random blog I can't remember, this book. Any tips, suggestions, encouragement....comment away!
