Oh the absolute sweetness that spills from this store. The essential tops are reasonably priced, some of the other items a bit expensive but all so exquisite. Just browsing through the pictures is fantastically fun.
Happy October friends! This month is a happy one indeed. Fall clothes are being unpacked today. Warm sweaters, scarves, tights, and boots. I love a good pair of boots. Currently, I have been lusting after these beauties. They are pretty and practical. No problems chasing after the wee one's in these. The only problem I foresee is that price tag. Ouch. What do you love about fall?
Sometimes I just want to dress my boys in something other than the "norm". I will admit that because they are little guys I usually put them in a tee shirt and shorts. That's the way they like it, so I comply. But every once in a while I like to switch it up a bit and try something new. Ambajam offers that something new.
Full of bright colors, fun animals and plush materials; your little guy or gal will stand out from the crowd. Comfy cords. Scrumptiously soft jackets. One of a kind blankets and quilts. I can't help but be attracted to the eye popping color. It is completely fun and completely cheery! The clothing is soft and did great when I ran it through the wash. The only thing I would change is that I would add backing to the applique to insure it is super soft. But other than that I absolutely love the concept. I also love their "story", ahem, I mean "bedtime story". Check it out!
Hello readers! Remember this fabulous company? Lark and Loon is back and going to be at my house next week! Well, not technically but I will be hosting a trunk show on Wednesday, October 1 @ 7:30pm. If any of you readers are in the Dallas area and interested in attending please shoot me an email and I can kindly give you directions to my humble abode. I posted about it here and am excited to say one is up for grabs today! I absolutely adore my Little Roo cover. It is easy peezy to use and dresses up my too drab baby carrier. So now you can feel like you are doing just a bit more to help out our planet. The fabrics come in your choice of "girl", "boy", or "unisex" so there is something for everyone! What pattern would you choose?

One of my most favorite must haves when I have a little one at home is a great carrier and sling. My favorite carrier of choice is none other than the baby Bjorn. Although it lacked style, it was simple to use and provided the support I needed when hauling around a little buddha baby. At times I was tempted to try something new but for some reason always stayed true to the Bjorn. Perhaps that is why I was beyond thrilled when I discovered the darling little company, My Little Roo.
My Little Roo is the brain child of mom-prenuer Kelsey Clark. After her first son Aidan was born in 2001, she quickly realized that although the Bjorn was basicly fantastic all around, it did lack style and function. My Little Roo offers "fashionable, designer slipcovers" that are easy to use and easy on your wallet. They come in darling vintage fabrics and add that much needed personality to your front carrier.
Hop on over and check it out...isn't it about time to dress up your carrier?
If I had a little girl, I would definitely clip one of these spunky little clips in her hair. Not only are they super cute but they stay put and are comfortable. Yes, I'll admit, I tried one on and secretly wear it around the house to pull my bangs back. There I said it. But I can't help it, they add a nice touch of bling.
Hip Clipz is a fun way to add a bit of style to any little girl. There are three styles....
After Christine Fox gave birth to her second child in 2002, a little girl, her inner craft goddess emerged in full force and Hip Clipz was born. Each clip is handcrafted in the USA, made with 100% USA materials. Not only are the clips affordable and pretty darn cute but Christine also donates 10% of all proceeds. So what are you waiting for...pop on over for a look!
It really was love at first sight. And I am not a huge jewelry person. I like to keep things simple. But now....
I have fallen in love with Karel Jewelry Designs. Her jewelry is simply breathtaking. Each lovely is delicate + feminine + colorful + fun, all combined to make the perfect piece of jewelry at a reasonable price. Karel, the brilliant lady behind the company, designs and handcrafts each piece herself! She is constantly striving to keep her designs "fresh and innovative".
"Everyone deserves to feel unique and beautiful. It was always important
to me to express my individuality through fashion, but I often found it
difficult to find unique, quality pieces of jewelry that I could afford.
That's how this company was born...I thought, if I can't find it, I'll make
This probably sounds a bit silly but I do feel pretty when I slip a piece of her jewelry on. I somehow transfer from mom to a woman ready to be taken out on the town, even if just for a moment. It is that last special piece to your outfit that will take it up just a notch more. Although some of you may find the prices just a touch high, trust me when I say that the quality is superb. The gemstones used are absolutely beautiful and the pieces never feel too heavy or awkward. It was like they were meant to be worn, by you of course. My favorite piece, okay well two favorite pieces are the Aussie Princess necklace and the Chrysalis earrings. What is your favorite piece?
Her style is unique, her design is simple yet intricate. Each of her collections has a fun story of inspiration behind it, which I found fascinating. Wendy describes designing jewelry as an art, and truly it is. I found myself being drawn to the Flower of Life collection. I loved the simplicity of the shapes and lines and how they all intertwined together. The fact that most of her pieces go with my every day attire is a definite plus. They are just enough to spice up my wardrobe of fossil tees and buckle jeans. Besides designing gorgeous jewelry, Wendy also gives back. Her "ignite" collection was designed to support three different charities depending on which stone you choose.
Rhodolite = Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Peridot = American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Blue Topaz = Parkinsons' Disease Foundation
Her price range runs from affordable to a little bit out of my league but really you are paying for art. It just so happens to be art you can wear. So what collection is calling your name?
